Chopper, a waitress, and Michelle, a chef, told me that in addition to the food, fun and service, people come to Cherry Pockets because

"They are treated like family."

Chyrsa and Michelle credit the Eten's with creating the positive atmosphere at Cherry Pocket. They care about the staff, the community and everyone's family. They even know all the children's names. The Eten's make you feel like you belong. In addition to knitting and sewing all the curtains and pillow shams in the cabins, Elie weaves you into something bigger - her family. In her spare time she makes all the desserts and the Pocket's special sauces. The term "home cooking" at Cherry Pocket is literally true. Elie makes all the deserts at home and brings them to the restaurant.

My new friend Randy sums it up best.

"It is a good place to come."
