The Golf Club at Souring with the Eagle by Anthony Scaggs
Aim for the left side of the fairway, hit your drive and let it gentle roll off the left side towards the middle leaving you with a 100 to 150 yard second shot. Select the appropriate short iron, aim for the left front side of the green and let your ball roll right to the pin. If I failed to mention it, the contour of "That's Golf" is left to right pushing your ball towards the beach and the water. My planning was excellent. The execution was questionable. My drive landed short of the right front bunker and headed for the water. I had a downhill lie for my second shot. I aimed for the green's far-left side because the ball's lie would induce a left to right ball flight. To my horror, the ball headed for the middle of the green, started to fade, hit, bounced and "splash". Although the water was a lateral hazard and I could have dropped the ball in a different spot, I was determined to make the shot. I dropped my second ball where I stood, addressed the ball, and hit it, Perfect. It moved left to right, landed on the far left of the green and rolled to the pin. Why can't we hit our second shot first? Oh well, "That's Golf."
