David Pough and Nyree Simpson live in the area and were waiting for the restaurant to open.

Simpson said , "I like the décor. It is all about the movie." Pough added,

"It is a step above and we love seafood."

The menu hints at the excitement the owners must have had when they put this restaurant together. One will note the Chilly Shrimp, Dumb Luck Coconut Shrimp, Southern Charmed Fried Shrimp or Gumpberry Cobbler, to name a few.

A favorite in one dining group was Bubbas' After the Storm "Bucket of Boat Trash." The menu description is Tender Shrimp, Slipper Lobster and flaky White Fish cooked Baja style with creamy cole slaw and fries. The group was also partial to Forrest's Shrimp Net Catch. It is described as the best Shrimp steamed in beer with potatoes and fresh vegetables and your choice of Bubba's garlic spice or secret recipe Cajun spice.

From the moment one enters Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Restaurant & Market, the laughter, the excitement and dining enjoyment pulse through the dining area and bar. Pough and Simpson's parting words were,

"Tell a friend. This place is alive."
